Library Services for Teens

People might have heard about this in other circles, but I’ve never formally posted to the InfoIsland blog about teen library services in Second Life. There is a partnership with the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County and the Alliance Library System to offer services to teens, 13-17 years old on Eye4YouAlliance Island in the teen grid. If adults are interested in helping out with the project, please send us an email at: eye4youalliance at gmail.com and let us know. All adults in SL need to be approved in order to work with teens. Our intention is to have the project teen driven as much as possible and we’re currently working on forming a teen advisory board. Visit our blog to find out more information.

    Hi,

I’m maintaining a blogging guide for teens, and thanks to your site I got to know about Second Life and what it even offers specialized Teen Second Life environment. Thank you! I registered today and I’m very excited with it – for Neil Stephenson’s “Snowcrash” was one of my ever favorite SF novels, and now I can immerse into the world he wrote about quite a some time ago :)
