It is with great pleasure that I share with you that the Alliance Library Ssystem and Second Life’s Infoisland were recognized this morning with the ALA Information Today Inc. Library of the Future Award . The award recognizes innovation and leadership in the library community.

The award is truly about all of you and the fabulous collaborative work you have
pioneered Infoisland over the last year. Along with the award which will be presented at ALA in Washington in June comes with a $1,500 cheque which will be reinvested in our work on SL….( you know Lori always has a new project up her sleeve that needs some seed $!!!)

When we get the official press release and details about the award ceremony we will get back to you, incase you are in Washigton and can join us on the podium!!We will also plan an SL celebration so our avatars can can get all blinged up and be silly!!!

In the meantime…..enjoy your moment in the sun….you have all really made a difference!!!
