Public Librarians Interested in Second Life -new group

Eirene Janus of Clearwater Public Library has agreed to head up an interest group
of public librarians interested in Second Life. This group will work together to put
up displays highlighting digital content, author and artist programs and exhibits, and
to explore how public libraries can offer services in Second Life. We have a good number
of academic librarians and some publics - this will enable publics to work together to
find what works and what doesn’t and how they can best serve their communities in a virtual world.
To get started, Eirene will host a meeting for interested librarians and volunteers
on Clearwater Beach island on Monday, August 27 at 6 pm sl. For more information,
