Monday, September 22nd at 6 p.m. SLT on the dock at Investing InfoIsland:

An informal discussion based on the book Women and Money, by Suze Orman. In this book Orman tries to address a difficult conclusion she had drawn: “Despite the remarkable social advancements women have made over the past four decades, very little has changed in the way women deal with money.” She analyzes the situation, as well as the traits of financially successful and secure women, then presents a five-month plan for getting you on the road toward a rewarding, functional relationship with your finances. If you need a TP, please IM Maxito Ricardo.

Tuesday, September 23rd at 6 p.m. SLT on Bradburyville:

An informal discussion of the wonderful Ray Bradbury novel, Dandelion Wine. It’s the summer of 1928 in Green Town, Illinois, and 12-year-old Douglas Spaulding is dealing with some timeless issues, such as life fully realized, danger, death, and the need for a new pair of sneakers. If you need a TP, please IM Maxito Ricardo.

Wednesday, September 24th at 6 p.m. SLT in the gazebo next to Mystery Manor on Info Island:

A discussion of the novel A Rage in Harlem by Chester Himes. Jackson is in love with Imabelle, has been swindled by a man impersonating a U.S. Marshal, “borrowed” some cash from the safe of his undertaker employer, lost that cash in an all-night crap game, and had to go visit his estranged twin brother, Goldy, a nun-impersonating beggar junkie. This discussion is part of the monthly “Waiting for the Other Gumshoe to Drop” series. If you need a TP, please IM Maxito Ricardo.
