College Fair coming to InfoIsland!

Call for Participating Institutions:

Info Island is hosting a Virtual College Fair! Come take advantage of this opportunity to promote your college or university to visitors from around the world — and no one needs to leave home!

Use this form to sign up to represent your school at the fair. Set up a display with information and web links, collect contact information from prospective students, provide “freebies” with your college logo, and give out landmarks to your island. A college fair has been held successfully on Eye4You Alliance Island on the teen grid for the past two years. Now it’s time to reach the main grid audience.

Here are some quotes from the 2007 college fair on the teen grid:
-This event is sure to attract a lot of tech-savvy students-Chronicle of Higher Education
-This is my first virtual college fair, and I’m excited about it. I’ll be showcasing the work that our group has done in SL and talking about careers in
technology-
Hilary Mason, Johnson & Wales University, SLNN
-What a great experience in preparing for the college fair on the teen grid. Every adult I encounter comments how helpful the teens are. It’s exciting that colleges are using Second Life as a place to try recruitment!-Eye4You Alliance staff
